The producer of glass washing liquids GELENA CHIMAVTO completely renewed the design of the innovative line of NORD antifreeze.
"The design of NORD antifreeze has been completely changed. At the same time characteristics of red antifreeze were changed. Now it is produced according to the lobrid technology and meets the G 12++ standard. The consumers have received the products with even more powerful protection against cavitation," the company representative says.
NORD antifreeze is guaranteed to work in cooling systems of millions of domestic and import cars, buses, tractors and special-purpose machinery. Besides direct function all kinds of antifreeze NORD also have additives package which neutralises such a problem of car engine as cavitation erosion.
Antifreeze NORD G12++ is a high quality coolant produced on the basis of ethylene glycol based on the lobrid technology, the components of which are based on own developments of GELENA CHIMAVTO company. Increased (112°C) boiling point allows using this agent in the most heat loaded modern engines. NORD G12++ antifreeze is particularly effective for high-powered diesel and high-speed forced petrol engines operating under high load. It is also suitable for light-alloy engines which require special aluminium protection at high temperatures. Does not contain nitrite, phosphate, borate and amine.
NORD Antifreeze G11 is a high quality coolant based on ethylene glycol. It contains a mixture of organic and inorganic inhibitors, including silicates, which protect system parts made of aluminium. The lack of phosphates allows you to use even hard water, reducing the possibility of formation of deposits in the cooling ducts, nozzles and other elements of the cooling system. It is particularly effective for all types of diesel and petrol engines with aluminium cylinder heads operating under high loads, including highly accelerated ones with turbo-charging.
NORD antifreeze is packed in original containers with high anti-counterfeit protection.
Engine cavitation erosion
According to the representative of GELENA CHIMAVTO, most manufacturers of antifreezes for cooling systems of cars don't take into account such factor as cavitation erosion of engine cylinder walls, cooling channels and pump impeller. In particular, engines of cars operating in difficult urban conditions, in which the car spends most of its time in traffic jams, are subject to this problem.
"To solve this problem, it is not enough to produce a high quality antifreeze - it is necessary to use an additive package that neutralises the harmful effects of cavitation. For 25 years' experience in production of antifreezes specialists of Gelena CHIMAVTO company managed to develop such a package allowing NORD antifreeze to forget about such a terrible problem for an engine as cavitation erosion," the representative of the company explained.
When the piston moves with high frequency in a vertical direction, the crankshaft rotates horizontally. These differently directed motions cause strong vibrations in the engine cylinder surface structure. Despite the fact that the outer wall of the cylinder is surrounded by antifreeze, the inertia of the flow creates vacuum pockets, as a result of which the formed air bubbles explode, tearing out small pieces of metal.
It has been established by HELENA CHEMAVTO technicians that about 40% of engine failures are caused by problems in the cooling system, which has three functions: absorption and transfer of heat energy; control of engine working temperature; and dissipation of heat energy. Each function performs the primary function of keeping the engine running properly.
Engine failures in a car can be expressed in the following ways: sagging piston rings; piston wear; valve burnout; bearing corrosion; and pump failure.
"It may seem that the listed failures have nothing to do with the cooling system, but in fact, these failures are directly related to the operation and maintenance of this system. The cause of these failures is corrosion because of cavitation, that's why to protect from it one should not use just high quality antifreeze but antifreeze with a special additive package, which is available in NORD antifreeze," says the company representative.
He specified that NORD anti-freeze neutralizes destructive cavitation by means of creation of a protective layer on the cylinder wall or cooling channel and also protects the engine pump impeller from cavitation - formation and collapse of bubbles that appear on the impeller blade ends due to pressure reduction at increase of anti-freeze flow speed. These bubbles "eat up" edges of blades, and in extreme cases - the whole impeller.
Scale on engine walls
Another critical problem for a car engine is limescale on the walls of the cooling system.
"Scale is an insulator that prevents heat dissipation and, as a result, the engine overheats. Additives in NORD antifreeze have a certain property: scale particles are "enveloped" by a special component and as a result they cannot stick to the cooling system walls. When using this antifreeze, heat removal is guaranteed, as well as stable engine operation," explained the representative of GELENA CHIMAVTO.
