The manufacturer of industrial paints and coatings "Pigment-Holding" (St. Petersburg) has replaced foreign analogues of anti-corrosion coating for pipes on oil and gas pipelines. The domestic powder epoxy primer P-EP-0305 has been successfully tested in Gazprom and Transneft and will become an alternative to the products used by foreign companies "3M", Akzo Nobel, Teknos, which have left the Russian market.
"The formulation of P-EP-0305 completely lacks European chemical raw materials, which determines its sanctioned independence. Output volumes in 2023 will be increased by 2 times, which will satisfy the growing demands of the pipe sector. In total, the company's portfolio includes about 100 grades of primers for use in shipbuilding and ship repair, for metal structures with a long protection period, bridge structures, for corrosion protection of pipeline transport and pipes of hot and cold water and heat supply at various industrial facilities and as part of integrated protective coating systems for the oil and gas production and processing industry", - commented Alexander Shikhanov, General Director of Pigment-Holding LLC.
Powder epoxy primer P-EP-0305 is one of the innovative products developed and manufactured at the St. Petersburg enterprise. It is intended for priming the outer surface of pipes in a system of anticorrosive two-layer and three-layer polyethylene coating for main oil and gas pipelines. The primer works as an independent single-layer and two-layer shock-resistant anticorrosive coating of the outer surface of pipes, as well as as a sublayer for polyurethane foam in the production of heat-resistant coatings.
