Russia's largest uranium mining company replaces imported equipment with Russian equipment

In Russia, the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Association (PIMCU) of Rosatom's mining division has launched an effort to replace foreign equipment with domestic ones, the division's press service said.

It is known that the company has purchased dump trucks from Tonar, manufactured near Moscow, and bulldozers from Cheboksary's Chetra Industrial Tractor Plant.

The dump trucks will perform the transportation of rock mass from the shafts of mines. "Today, these dump trucks have no analogues on the territory of the country, and their technical characteristics are not inferior to foreign samples of mine dump trucks. I'd like to emphasize that domestic equipment is easy to operate and repair," said Vitaly Cherny, Transport Director of PIMCU.

Bulldozers will be used to form rock dumps at the heap leaching pad of the Central Scientific and Research Laboratory of the association.

PIMCU is the largest uranium mining company in Russia and one of the largest uranium mining companies in the world, the largest diversified mining enterprise in the region.
