The demand for Russian products abroad may increase. However, in order to expand the geography of markets it is important to provide for several logistical solutions, and the product itself must be competitive in quality and cost. This was the opinion of experts at the meeting with Russian exporters, organized by Synergy Corporation and the Perm Krai Export Support Centre.
It is especially important now, when planning the exports, to take into account the actual analysis of target markets, according to Timur Kornilov, the vice president of Export Programs at Synergy Corporation. Despite the fact that the geography of sales markets for domestic suppliers is narrowing and new challenges arise, nevertheless Russian goods continue to be in demand on the international market, he continued.
"Russian companies and foreign partners continue to look for new ways to address the emerging challenges. Nowadays up-to-date analytics and market research play a special role when planning exports. You should clearly understand in which market your product will be competitive not only in quality, but also in cost," Kornilov said.
Every single case should be considered individually and an appropriate tool should be chosen according to it, pointed out the Deputy Director of Synergy Export Agency Victoria Boldinskaya. She stressed that companies need to make decisions that will help to make the supplies stable.
As Yana Nikitina, the acting Head of the Export Support Center of the Perm Region, is of the opinion that in order to enter a new market it is necessary to take into account not only information about the demand for a product, but also all the details of trade relations.
"In the conditions of new reality export-oriented companies in the region are facing many challenges, and one of the most important is the expansion or change of geography of supplies, the search for a new foreign buyer. But in order to enter a new market (friendly countries) it is not enough only to know about the demand for the goods, it is important to know all the specifics of trade relations. This is the information we give to our exporters during webinars," Nikitina explained.
Konstantin Paulov, head of the company-operator Astra Pacific, spoke about the nuances of online export through electronic trading platforms in South Korea. According to him, the main difficulties may be related to the limitations of international flights - it is important for companies to consider several options for logistics solutions. At the same time at the moment it is not recommended to use the dropshipping model.
