Berry farm on "Far Eastern hectares" attracted private investment

Entrepreneur Natalia Chemicheva's berry farm in the Khabarovsk city of Vyazemsky was able to attract a private investor, according to the press service of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

Today, berries from the plantation can be purchased online and in the markets of Vyazemskoye and Khabarovsk.

According to the owner, initially her family took the "Far Eastern hectare" for the subsidiary farm and dacha with a kitchen garden. According to Chemicheva, the secret of success lies in the choice of the land plot; the future owners studied it thoroughly before applying. Along with it, the "hectare" is optimally oriented to the sun, and due to the slope it does not retain excessive moisture. Already at the end of the first season they decided to expand the plantation.

"We needed more land to develop, as well as funds to build greenhouses to increase the yield and harvest period. We took an adjacent "hectare" and also received a grant as beginning farmers. In addition, we managed to attract private investments as well - people see the success of our project and are ready to invest in order to help us on the one hand and earn money together with us on the other. So we were able to build two greenhouses with a total area of 600 square meters, "- said Chemicheva.

Now the harvest of strawberries on the plantation is collected from May to November, and in the summer we also grow raspberries. Berries are sold fresh, frozen or made into jam.

In addition, farmers have already started working on a new direction - growing vegetables and fresh herbs.
