Small businesses from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are increasingly coming to Wildberries: in the first quarter of this year, the number of entrepreneurs from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased 13 times compared with the same period a year ago, the press service of the marketplace said.
Local businesses in neighboring countries increased their sales through the online platform by 357% to 1.9 billion rubles from January to March, the company said.
Sales of sports nutrition (plus 855%), building materials (plus 674%), pet supplies (plus 562%), food (plus 497%) and office supplies (plus 432%) increased the most.
Clothing accounted for the largest volume of imports (about 53%) from the EAEU countries. Another 18% came from cosmetics and perfumes, and about 6% from household goods.
