Russian multimedia park developer Hello IO has developed a large-scale park project within the framework of corporate social responsibility (CSR). According to the authors' idea, in 2021 the construction of Hello Park Eco, an indoor multimedia park for the development of environmental awareness through a game for families with children from three years old and young people, is to start.
It is planned that the eco-park of at least 300 square meters will include 11 to 13 multimedia interactive zones on various themes - electricity, water communications, waste. The zones will be presented on three main planes - problems, ways of influence on the situation and positive outcome.
"The problem that caused the appearance of this project was the fact that now the population of the planet uses 1.5 times more resources than the Earth can renew. Youth movements such as the Greta Thunberg movement, thousands of young people demonstrating across Europe and calling on the government to address the issue of global warming as a phenomenon, tell us how important every single person is. The main objective of Hello Park Eco is the promotion of responsible consumption among the Russian population," the company explained.
The authors of the project want not only to educate visitors of the eco-park on responsible consumption of resources and actions to improve ecological situation but also to show all existing solutions in practice.
This project is now especially interesting and relevant to large corporations due to the fact that the eco-responsibility of the brand allows:
At the same time, Hello Park Eco is also reputational marketing for businesses:
Other CSR development projects
Since July 2020, Hello IO has started to actively develop internal CSR as well. Among the activities that affect all companies on this path, the organization has highlighted four main stages, going from simple to complex:
1) Simple - saving resources, avoiding redundancies, simple changes - using drafts when printing internal materials, sorting waste, optimizing lighting (energy-saving lamps, etc.).
2) Green Procurement - optimizing the line of suppliers, channeling funds to support socially responsible entrepreneurs.
3) Green technologies - optimizing the company's existing processes and products.
4) New sustainable products.
At the moment the company is already implementing a number of measures related to different stages of the company's optimization: sorting waste into 7 fractions, installation of eco-vending machines with natural products in recyclable packaging, daily supply of fresh fruit to the office for the employees, lectures on environmental issues, revision of document management and suppliers, etc.
