The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced an increase in the non-tariff quota for the export of nitrogen fertilizers

The non-tariff quota for the export of certain types of nitrogen fertilizers will increase. This was announced following a meeting of the subcommittee on customs tariff and non-tariff regulation, protective measures in foreign trade of the government commission for economic development and integration, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia said.

"The non-tariff quota for the export of urea will be increased by 400 thousand tons, ammonium nitrate by 200 thousand tons, urea-ammonia mixture by 150 thousand tons," the ministry said.

The corresponding protocol was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov.

Such a measure will make the production of fertilizers continuous. Moreover, the solution contributes to an increase in export volumes. At the same time, this measure will not reduce supplies to the domestic market: supplies are carried out according to the plan agreed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture.

It should be noted that agricultural producers have purchased 4.6 million tons of mineral fertilizers since the beginning of the year, which is 9% more than in 2021. At the moment, a procurement plan has already been approved by the end of May 2023, according to which more than 14 million tons of mineral fertilizers will be purchased.
