Metropolitan companies increased the production of drugs and medical products in the first quarter

In the first quarter of this year, Moscow enterprises produced 5.5% more drugs and medical devices than during the same period last year. The volume of pharmaceutical products shipped from January to March amounted to nearly 70 billion rubles, according to the press service of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital.

In this case the production of drugs in the first three months increased by 25%, and medical instruments and equipment production was 98.3%, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Yefimov.

In the first quarter of the Moscow enterprises, he said, have sent to customers 3.7 billion rubles of goods - an increase of 45.5% compared to the same period in 2021.

Now in the city there are more than 140 pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers of medical equipment, which employs almost 20 thousand people.
