"Lukoil will buy 100% of Shell Neft shares

Russian oil company Lukoil has entered into an agreement to buy Shell Neft, which owns more than 400 Shell gas stations and a lube plant in Russia, the company said in a statement.

It concerns 411 Shell gas stations, mainly in Central and Northwest Federal Districts, and a lube plant in Tver Region.

The deal will be closed after approval of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

At the end of February the British oil and gas company Shell announced its decision to withdraw from joint ventures with Gazprom and Gazprom Neft and terminate its participation in the Nord Stream-2 project. The company has also decided to close all its gasoline filling stations (GFS) on the territory of Russia.
