More than 70 investment projects are included in the Sverdlovsk region import substitution program

The Sverdlovsk region has more than 70 investment projects included in the region's import substitution program, said Igor Zelenkin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Science of the region.

"There is a section called our investment projects, which were and are being constantly conducted in the region. There are more than 70 of them and they are included in the program so that other regions could see what the Sverdlovsk region specializes in and what it will produce in the near future," he said.

Amongst the regional investment projects Zelenkin pointed out the production of medical rehabilitation equipment and the production of assembly kits for IVF devices, the industrial bottling of mineral water, and the construction of a bacterial sourdough plant. In addition, the Aramil cloth factory will be renovated, and production of ceramic cordierite substrates for automotive catalytic converter systems will be organized.

The import substitution program also includes problems of enterprises that arose due to delayed supplies or sanctions, noted the deputy minister.

In total, more than 400 investment projects worth over 8 trillion rubles are to be launched before 2024.
