Lamb production in KCR will be doubled

Karachay-Cherkessia (KCR) plans to double mutton production by 2032, said the head of the region Rashid Temrezov after a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak.

"Investment activity is active in the region. Among big investors there is Damate Group that implements a large project on mutton production in the region. The project is in an active implementation stage. The aim of the program is to double the volume of sheep production in 10 years and significantly increase rural employment and socio-economic development of rural areas, "- he said.

At the same time Temrezov stressed that the main target in the region is the maximum use of its own resources for the production of local import-independent products.
