"Magnit launched QR-code payment in all stores via SBP

Purchases in all Magnit stores can now be paid for using a QR code through the Quick Payment System (QPS), the company's press service said.

The service is available in convenience stores, supermarkets, hypermarkets, "Magnit Cosmetics" stores and pharmacies.

To pay, the customer needs to scan the QR-code in the mobile application of his bank, check the amount of payment and press the button "pay". In the future it is planned to add this function to the self-service checkouts as well.

"Against the background of restrictions on the work of payment services Quick Payment System for part of the visitors "Magnit" will be a comfortable way to pay and will continue to make purchases using a smartphone. We assume that SBP technology will actively develop and involve more and more users," - said Deputy CFO of retail chain "Magnit" Sergey Stafeev
