Russian online retailer Wildberries opened its first distribution center in Bishkek to strengthen partnerships with local entrepreneurs and speed up order delivery in the country, the company's press service said.
The area of the logistics center is 1,000 square meters. It sorts orders, takes deliveries and then sends them to distribution centers.
The new logistics hub will allow Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to reduce logistics costs, increase sales and expand the range of goods on the marketplace.
"At the end of Q1 2022, the number of local entrepreneurs registered on our online marketplace grew 35 times year-over-year to 2,150. Sales of products from Kyrgyzstan increased by 360% year-on-year, and the most popular local goods were clothes and shoes, pet supplies, dishes and various kitchen equipment, as well as cosmetics and perfumes," - noted the press service.
Now there is a simplified registration procedure for entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan on the portal seller.wildberries.ru. To start sales, it is enough to pass a short registration, place information about goods and bring them to the new center of the company in Bishkek after receiving orders from buyers.
Local entrepreneurs do not need to take the goods to other countries - the logistics service of Wildberries will do it themselves.
