Demand for Russian sweets and sunflower oil in Egypt increased by a quarter

In New Cairo, Egypt, demand for sweets and sunflower oil from Russia increased by a quarter in late 2021, according to the Russian Export Center (REC).

"Since the opening of the demonstration and tasting pavilion of Made in Russia products in New Cairo in December 2021, the number of requests from buyers has increased by 20-25%. Russian products are most often bought by large distributors and government agencies of Egypt (B2G-segment)," - noted the REC.

Most of all they are interested in sunflower oil, flour, cereals and sweets, including waffles and chocolate.

Tasting pavilions with products Made in Russia are open in four countries: Egypt, China, Vietnam and the UAE. They hold tastings, product presentations and negotiations, so that potential buyers can assess the quality and order goods from exporters in any volume, from a large wholesale batch to several samples.
