Moscow residents who have lost their jobs due to the closure of foreign stores can apply for employment assistance at the "My Moscow" employment center, Maria Ustinova, director of the capital's employment center, told the editorial board of Made in Russia.
Over the past week, several dozen brands have announced the suspension of their operations in Russia. The bulk of their stores in this case accounted for the major cities - Moscow and St. Petersburg.
"Residents who have lost their jobs and want to find a new one, or are just entering the labor market, can apply to the employment center "My Work" for help in finding a job," Ustinova said.
Today Muscovites officially registered as unemployed can receive social payments. The maximum unemployment benefit is 12 792 rubles for the first three months and 5000 rubles - for the next three months.
Those who worked for more than 26 weeks during the last six months, was not dismissed for discipline violation and their earnings were from 30 thousand rubles can claim benefits. Citizens who are looking for a job for the first time, worked less than 26 calendar weeks during the last year, haven't worked for more than a year or were dismissed for misconduct, will be paid the minimum benefit - 1500 rubles. In addition, it is possible to receive compensation of 1650 rubles for the cost of public transportation and a supplement to the unemployment benefit of 850 rubles.
"Unemployment allowance is only a temporary measure of support during the period when a person is in the process of searching for a suitable job and employer. Our main task is to integrate a person into today's labor market and help job seekers who are motivated to find a job," explained the director of the center.
Anyone can get support in finding a job. All services in the employment centers in the capital are free of charge. In total there are 57 employment offices, most of them are located in the "My Documents" centers.
The flagship center "My Work" (38 Shchepkina St., bldg. 1) provides an expanded set of employment services, which are focused on solving a person's problems depending on his or her life situation. At the same time, the "My Work" center on Shabolovka helps those who want to open their own business or become self-employed. RESULTS OF PREVIOUS YEARS
Since the beginning of 2020 Employment Service employed more than 300 thousand people, more than 110 thousand of them - last year, said Ustinova. Today, the number of vacancies in aggregate database of employment service exceeds 400 thousand offers.
Every day at the sites of the center "My Work" there is a massive open selection with the participation of state agencies and commercial companies. Recruitment centers of metro, Russian Post and MOEK are open in the flagship center.
Thanks to this, candidates can be interviewed by several employers at once and actually receive a job invitation at once. A career expert works on site to help sort out the reasons for rejection or to find suitable vacancies.
"We take a comprehensive approach to employing Muscovites. An active strategy is implemented for each applicant - job search, advanced training, assistance in opening their own business and self-employment registration, training and "upgrade" of necessary skills," - added the head of the center.
