Patriki Film, Russia's first international online film festival, will take place in Moscow in 2022. The chairman of the jury will be American director, winner of the "Golden Lion" Darren Aronofsky, known for the paintings "Black Swan," "Jackie," "Mom!", said the organizers of the event.
"The festival encourages authors from around the world to send in their entries to compete for the grand prize. The competition jury will review all the works and choose a winner in the summer of 2022. Surprise us with your originality and your artistic vision," Aronofsky urged in his video message.
The festival will take place both online, on a special platform, and offline. The Patriki Film Festival, founded by Marina Zhigalova and Alexey Bokov, will premiere Russian and foreign films and series. All works of the participants will be available for free online viewing.
The event will include several contest programs, public talks with actors, directors, producers, charity and gala events.
The Board of Trustees will also include People's Artist of Russia Konstantin Khabensky, director Pavel Lungin, founder of the Vinzavod Center for Contemporary Art Sofia Trotsenko and other figures.
