In Moscow, 11 publishers will be selected to present their products free of charge at the international literary fair non/fiction. This year the event will be held on December 2-6 at Gostiny Dvor. It was reported in the press service of the Department of Entrepreneurship and innovative development of the capital.
To do that, it is necessary to leave an application on the website of the Agency of creative industries from November 11 to 18.
"In 2021 we will add a new creative industry - publishing - to the Created in Moscow project. The International Intellectual Literature Fair non/fiction will be the first experience of supporting Moscow book producers in the framework of our project. Due to the support of the city 11 Moscow publishing houses, which have successfully passed the selection, will be able to present their products free of charge", - said the head of the department Alexey Fursin.
Moscow authorities will support young and growing publishers, that publish previously unpublished manuscripts, books with original design, unique or innovative component. As specified in the press service, it may be an augmented reality or an unusual format.
Publishers of comics and illustrated books, as well as authors of small editions, will be able to participate for free.
There will be a business program with lectures and signing session. Special attention will be given to the comics, for the discussion of which a separate day will be set aside and devoted to several events.
International fair non/fiction expects to attract over 300 participants. There will be collective stands from Italy, Germany, Norway, Greece, Estonia, Spain, France and the Czech Republic. They will offer the best editions of fiction, scientific and popular science literature. Illustrators from Bulgaria, Poland, Sweden and Finland will present their works.
According to the results of last year's exhibition, the sales exceeded 120 million rubles.
