Svyazstroydetal, a Moscow-based company, became a participant of the online project "Open#Mosprom

Svyazstroydetal, a leading Russian developer and manufacturer of products for cable duct construction and installation of electric and optical communication cables, became one of the first participants of the "Open#Mosprom" project, which went online due to the epidemiological situation in the world.

In the spring of 2020, the official website of the "Open#Mosprom" project launched a series of special releases about Moscow plants and factories and how they operate during the pandemic. Due to the fact that at the moment it is almost impossible to get to Moscow productions due to the need to pass several levels of sanitary and epidemiological control, the project has moved to online format, so that all those interested can continue to get acquainted with Moscow industry, despite the COVID-19.

"The Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow organized the action in such format for the first time. The main idea of the project is to allow the city residents to visit the production facilities, albeit virtually. For example, to see with their own eyes how robots of "Svyazstroydetal" plant weld cable fittings in a continuous mode in order to provide populated areas with Wi-Fi access points, or how a continuous action freezer for the production of ice cream makes a delicacy of the "Baskin Robbins" factory," the press service of the Moscow government department told.

The project "Open Mosprom" started in 2019. During the year there were 380 tours at 30 production sites. They were visited by more than 8 thousand people.

The support measures include profit tax, land tax and property tax benefits, as well as reduced land rental rates. They allow enterprises and investors to reduce the tax burden by 10-25 per cent compared with the normal level.

Production

The company has a modern fleet of equipment for the production of reinforced concrete structures, metal processing, plastic molding and manufacturing of optical cords, and is the leader in the Russian market for the design and manufacture of couplings for fiber-optic communication cables. At the same time reinforced concrete products for construction of communication lines are the only ones made by Moscow companies using the technology recommended by the Research Institute of Reinforced Concrete of the Gosstroy of the RF which ensures maximum durability in the conditions of aggressive urban environment.

At the same time Svyazstroydetal develops and serially produces polyethylene and lead joints for electric communication cables, terminal equipment equipped with plinths with plunge contacts, 10-pair connectors of communication cables SMZh-10, in total over 1000 items.

In order to develop new products and adapt the existing ones to specific customer needs, the company has a well-developed technical service department, consisting of a design department, a department of cable line construction technologies, a customer technical support and quality service, a testing laboratory to perform climatic, mechanical and electrical tests of the products manufactured.

Svyazstroydetal's team is constantly searching for new materials and design solutions, developing, launching and improving its own products. Also, the range of products is updated through joint developments with industry research institutes, design offices, factories and other organizations.

Training

One of Svyazstroydetal's divisions is a training centre for professionals specializing in installation and maintenance of communication lines and using technologies and solutions offered by the company.
