InSAT has released an updated version of its flagship product MasterSCADA 4D

Russian software vendor and developer of automation and dispatching systems "Insat" has released a new release of its flagship product MasterSCADA 4D - version 1.2.10. It includes many new features and improvements that affect all major components of the system.

"The peculiarity of the new release is realization of the 64-bit version of runtime. Basic MasterSCADA 4D installer now includes 64-bit development environment, runtime and HMI-client. At the same time it remains available a separate installer of 32-bit versions of all components of the system. Besides in the new version we continued work on expansion of communication opportunities of MasterSCADA 4D - protocol drivers of heat meters ESCO-T and "Vzlet" were developed, - the representative of the company told.

The most significant improvements

Within the limits of updates company specialists have expanded possibilities of the development environment:

• a new mechanism for identifying tabs in the workspace has been implemented: each tab has an icon of the tree element to which the window belongs;
• context line was added to the workspace to show the path of the element position in the project structure;
• the "Equal Height" and "Equal Width" buttons for the group formatting of graphic controls have been added to the toolbar of the window editor;
• hot keys for many operations have been added;
• command to break all ties has been added to the context menu.

Among other improvements is the creation of utility for converting the database archives of data and messages Sqlite in Postgre/MS SQL. In addition, system functions have been added to the "General" library:

• GetVariableInfo - getting information about the linked archived parameter;
• Sleep - stops execution of a thread for a specified time;
• RestartPLC - restart of the runtime system.

The security system has also been improved by adding new types of access rights for individual controls (Journal, Trend, Trend Legend, Graph, Table, Reference).

The graphical client of the runtime system has also become more user-friendly:

• added setting of printing/saving the trend "Print Mini Legend";
• support for editing individual cells in the data table has been implemented;
• the ability to filter columns has been implemented in the Logbook settings;
• the "Issue Pulse" action has been added;
• in the settings of the "Open popup window" action, the "Close when main window is closed" option has been added
• ability to control the size of the popup window through window properties was added;
• added the text alignment properties for the "Button" controller;
• Added option to launch HMI client noframe to open client in full-screen mode across multiple monitors.

Among other updates in version 1.2.10 is the new Manuals module, which is designed for the systematic storage of reusable information, organizing access to that information and its use in applications.

Also in release 1.2.10 a new licensing mechanism is implemented - software protection keys. Now when making an order the manager specifies whether the protection type is hardware (USB-key) or software (license binding to the computer main components).

In addition to these innovations, the company has made over 50 revisions.
