"Mosoblgaz" began to apply composite cases of "NCC" company for protection of existing gas pipelines

The leading Russian company NCC, which is leading in the composite market, has started to supply Mosoblgaz JSC with protective cases and repair couplings of its own production to protect the company's existing gas pipelines since 2019.

About the composite case

In fact composite products replace traditional steel cases, which, with other disadvantages, are much less convenient for installation, for example, they require critical welding operations when working with gas. Steel cases also require special electrochemical protection, which composite cases do not require due to their technological properties.

The composite protective case for gas and oil pipelines was developed by NCC and put into production in 2017. Among its distinctive features are increased strength, interchangeability of parts, protection against stray currents, compact placement during transportation. When installing the composite case there is no welding work, the case does not require maintenance and special measures to protect against corrosion. The weight of composite sleeve for gas and oil pipelines protection is four times less than metal sleeve, so there is no need to use heavy machinery when mounting.

About the composite sleeve

In 2020, the list of NCC products used by Mosoblgaz JSC was also supplemented with a composite coupling, which the company started producing this year. The composite coupling is designed for repairing through and blind defects in gas pipes formed during operation except for defects in welding seams - the problem area is sealed and crimped by the coupling body, which prevents further gas leaks.

UAV products - tooling, assemblies, fuselage parts;

Products for transport, including exterior and interior cladding panels for railcars.

At the same time, NCC implements unique projects to order. For example, the company designed and manufactured a carbon plastic simulator body for pilots by the order of CNTU "Dynamics". Traditionally, such simulators are made with a significant amount of metal, but this NCC product is made almost entirely of carbon fiber, which significantly reduces the weight of the simulator and decreases the load on the mobility nodes. Such an updated design allows for a more realistic flight simulation.

NCC possesses two in-house test laboratories (general purpose and construction) with more than 60 units of measuring equipment. Thanks to such equipment, the company's laboratories are able to conduct a wide range of climatic, physical and mechanical, temperature and other tests for various types of products.

Export

"NCC has been actively developing its export activities since 2014. As of today, supplies of various company products are carried out to India, Kuwait, Mexico, and the USA.

The main export product of the company is the External Reinforcement System (ERS) CarbonWrap, designed for repair and restoration of reinforced concrete structures, which, apart from wide application in Russia, is also supplied to Turkey, Asia, USA, the Republic of Kazakhstan and Belarus, as well as to a number of European countries. With the help of this system it is possible to successfully and in a short time repair destroyed beams, slabs, columns, ledgers and any other reinforced concrete structures, including those that have lost their bearing capacity.
