Educational simulator developer PO GEOTAR participated in two exhibitions in the United States in 2019.

The developer and manufacturer of educational simulators "PO GEOTAR" in 2019 presented its own products at two exhibitions in the United States: the annual conference of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA-2019) in Chicago and the 96th international exhibition Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM), which was held in New York.

Conference ADEA traditionally gathers teachers and leaders of dental schools, developers of educational programs, students and practitioners - all who care about the fate of dental education across the ocean.

For the second year in a row, PO GEOTAR demonstrates its innovative development - dental simulator Leonardo - to ADEA participants.

In March 2018, the exhibition was held in Orlando, Florida, where representatives of the American dental education community were able to evaluate the technology for the first time. Since then, the simulator has been significantly refined by the company's experts, and observations and specifics of American training standards have been taken into account.

At the 2019 conference held in Chicago, Illinois, the Leonardo simulator attracted great interest not only from American dentists, but also from their colleagues in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Moreover, at the moment, negotiations are already underway to sell the machine, and in the very near future, the simulator will be sent to one of the leading dental colleges in the United States for testing.

GNYDM-2019

At the 96th international exhibition Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM) gathered heads of leading simulation centers, medical schools, colleges and schools, developers of educational programs, as well as practicing doctors and opinion leaders in dental education from 156 countries.

"PO GEOTAR for the first time took part in this exhibition and presented one of its simulators - simulator "Leonardo". Convenient user interface, realistic 3D-animation and advanced software capabilities of the device were highly appreciated by the colleagues not only from the USA, but also from Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan and other countries-exhibitors, with which negotiations concerning the supply of the simulator are still continuing.

Dental Simulator Leonardo

Leonardo simulator is a hybrid simulator designed for training and accreditation of students in dentistry, as well as for automation of educational process.

The device allows to conduct trainings on dental practice, reproducing real conditions of patient reception and exactly imitating the work at dental unit. Leonardo simulator also makes it possible to conduct training sessions on the application of local anesthesia, treatment of all types of caries, teeth turning in orthodontics (for subsequent fabrication of inlays, veneers, crowns, bridges), as well as free preparation.

Unique software shows the position of real instruments on a 3D model of the jaw and monitors the accuracy of performance using electromagnetic tracking technology. The software includes a clinical case download function, allowing you to study and train on real cases from medical practice. The interface is in English and Russian, but can be easily localised into other languages.

Several "Leonardo" simulators can be connected into a local network which allows streaming of video stream of the manipulation performed between the teacher's devices and the students. Learning progress of each student is stored in his/her individual folder for later analysis of his/her progress and development of problematic cases.

The device includes a set of lessons (on different topics: anesthesia, orthodontics, cariesology), each of which is a complete module with anamnesis data, images, visual instructions and video clips on how to perform manipulations.
