MEDPLANT intends to launch a new transport patient monitor for ambulances

Manufacturer of medical equipment for emergency "MEDPLANT" intends in the next couple of years to present a new development for ambulances - transport patient monitor "MEDPLANT-TM".

"The new monitor provides non-invasive measurement and control of vital signs: heart rate (HR), ST-segment shift, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation SpO2, PE, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, temperature, end-expiratory CO2 concentration EtCO2 and inhalation FiCO2," said a company representative.

He specified that the new device also features a system of switchable special modes (SOC and Resuscitation), adapted for use of the monitor in the ambulance and for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with minimal and necessary settings of channels and interface.

A built-in assistant, the CPR metronome, is available in Resuscitation mode, providing up to 72 hours of graphical trending recording and display.

The monitor itself has a high-contrast 5" touch screen display, which is duplicated by a membrane keypad on top of the device. The monitor also has a Wi-Fi local area network output.

In addition to ambulances, the device can also be used in intensive care units, in-hospital transport, patient monitoring at home and in sports medicine.

The company's other electric devices

Due to the fact that the ambulance has a limited capacity, the company MEDPLANT tries to create compact, lightweight, functional and reliable medical products.

Thus, one of the first such electrical products was the company's pulse oximeter "Oksitest". At the moment, for ambulances, the device can be considered a classic on a par with the orange stowage.

In 2018, "MEDPLANT" developed and introduced to the market of medical devices portable syringe drug dispenser "DShP-5-20- MEDPLANT" weighing 300 g. Prior to that, all analogues of the syringe dispenser had significantly greater weight. Despite its compact size, the product has all the necessary functions for the work of physicians on call, in the wards of medical organizations, medical services of law enforcement agencies and emergency services.

The syringe dispenser is designed for continuous infusion of drugs into the patient at a given speed. In addition to the advantage in compactness, the product is also quickly put into operation, easy to use, automatically detects the nominal volume of the syringe (from 5 to 20 ml), and has a CPR-infusion mode during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

"A distinctive feature of this unit in the group of compact automatic portable dispensers is the availability of CPR mode and a user-friendly control interface. This makes the work with the device as simple as possible - it is required to set only one parameter "infusion rate", - said the representative of the company.

Another development in the range of electrical products of the company is a portable resuscitation "CO2 monitor", which is designed to measure the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) of the gas mixture inhaled / exhaled by the patient in the main stream and measuring breathing rate.

The device measures the carbon dioxide concentration in the main stream without sampling by inserting the sensor and a special adapter into the patient's breathing circuit. The main flow measurement method is suitable for patients of different age groups: adults, children and infants. However, for each age group of patients a different type of adapter is used, taking into account the functional characteristics of the respiratory system.

The CO2 monitor is recommended for use in clinics, intensive care units, emergency vehicles, home care, as well as for use in sports medicine and scientific research.

The main advantages of the CO2 Monitor are:

- Determination of carbon dioxide concentration in the main flow of the respiratory mixture (without sampling), which provides increased speed and no transport delay;

- an autonomous operation mode of the CO2 monitor on the internal power supply (new fully-charged battery) for at least 6 hours

- advanced system of interface settings, trends, changing of alarm limits;

- several modes of information display.

"All these products already have a registration certificate, are produced in series and are used in various medical institutions," concluded the company representative.
