About the cartoon

The first series of the cartoon "Zhyla-Byla Tsarevna" was released in 2013. The director and screenwriter of the project was Natalia Titarenko.

The cartoon series is created for children from three to seven years old. The main character is a red-haired Princess, a cheerful and charming girl who differs little from her young viewers. Restless and cheerful, she loves to sing songs, eat sweets and play with her dog Bonna. Like any child, Tsarevna sometimes disobeys her parents, gets naughty and bullies, but always admits her mistakes and corrects them.

"Once Upon a Time the Princess" is designed not only for children, but also for their parents. The cartoon helps solve the problems that all modern mothers and fathers inevitably face: the child won't eat or dress warmly, quarrels with other children and demands toys. The cartoon shows how, without resorting to punishment, to find common ground with the child and reach a compromise, even with the most capricious children.

Each episode of the cartoon is dedicated to a different theme. "Zhyla-Byla Princess" touches on a variety of issues, ranging from the simplest: why go to bed in time and why you can not be greedy, and ending with more serious: how to overcome his fears, why it is important to protect the nature and care for the planet. "Saving the Octopus", one of the last episodes of the cartoon, focuses on the problem of ecology, the need to sort and recycle garbage. Thus, the cartoon engages in a serious and instructive dialogue with its young viewers, but in a light and playful form that is understandable and accessible even to the youngest. Each episode of the cartoon is sure to be accompanied by a musical composition - a new song by Princess, funny and fun.

The episodes of the cartoon are broadcast on the largest YouTube channel for children and family content Get Movies, and since 2017 "Tsarevna" has its own channel of the same name. In two years, the channel gained over 1.3 million subscribers and received a golden YouTube button. The most popular series was the episode "Pro Food", which gathered more than 60 million views, and the total animated series "Zhyla-Byla Tsarevna" has collected more than two billion views.

In addition to the main series about the adventures of princess, there are educational and developmental videos especially for young viewers. "Coloring books" help children learn and remember the names of colors. "Alphabet with Princess" tells about the correct spelling and pronunciation of letters and sounds in an accessible format of games and fun songs. "Charging with Princess" invites young viewers to join in the daily exercise. Familiar episodes of "Once Upon a Time, There Was a Princess" can be found in English and German and turn watching the cartoon into a useful activity for learning a new language.

The cartoon is available for viewing on its own YouTube channel, the Get Movies and Teremok TV channels, and on the main digital platforms: IVI, OKKO, Megogo, Kinopoisk, Megafon TV, Start.ru and Premiere.
