"Parus Electro equips hospitals with UPS for uninterrupted operation of medical facilities during the pandemic

During the pandemic, the Moscow-based company Parus Electro continues to equip medical centres in Moscow, the Leningrad Region, Orenburg, Ulan-Ude, Sevastopol, Tyumen and Irkutsk with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), without which normal operation of diagnostic and auxiliary medical equipment and engineering infrastructure would be impossible.

"Over the past few weeks, despite the difficult economic and epidemiological situation, the company has been working for Russian medical institutions. We are talking about equipping hospitals and hospitals with uninterruptible power supply systems, without which normal operation of diagnostic and auxiliary medical equipment and engineering infrastructure is impossible. Timely deliveries of equipment for critical facilities and adherence to quarantine measures are our active contribution in the fight against coronavirus infection," said General Director of "Parus Electro" Vladimir Khlebnikov.

He specified that as of today more than a dozen of three-phase online UPS of own manufacture have already been supplied to the capital hospitals, including the coronavirus center in New Moscow, medical centers of the Leningrad region, Orenburg, Ulan-Ude, Sevastopol, Tyumen, Irkutsk. Such a result was achieved due to the availability of the equipment and the necessary components for the UPS in the company's warehouse.

Moreover, Parus Electro is going to equip with three-phase guaranteed power supply systems medical establishments in Saint Petersburg (UFSB hospital), Ulyanovsk (Ulyanovsk Regional Clinical Hospital), Chelyabinsk (Regional Perinatal Centre), and Krasnodar.

In addition, in cooperation with design institutes, the company is developing a large-scale project involving the construction of new medical centres using fast-mounted structures.

Experience of UPS supply

Vladimir Khlebnikov, general director of the company, informed that the company has great experience in delivering UPS for medical institutions to ensure continuous power supply of separate equipment (tomographs, angiographs, X-ray and ultrasound machines) and hospital wards and buildings as a whole. Also, UPSs with diesel generator sets (DGU) for long-time autonomous operation are supplied as a complete package.

UPS produced by Parus Electro are up to the world leading brands (for example, APC by Schneider electric, Eaton, General Electric, Delta, AEG, Legrand, Benning, Jovyatlas, Vertiv/Liebert/Chloride) in terms of technical and quality characteristics but are cheaper in comparison with imported analogues. Most models are constantly available in stock in Moscow or can be produced in the shortest time from available components.

Room disinfection system

Another tool in the fight against pandemics and various epidemiological situations in general is a device invented by specialists "Parus Electro" for disinfecting indoor air - energy-saving LED lamp "Antivirus. This device with built-in module with ultraviolet radiation and active air pumping system is able to disinfect 99% of the air in a room of up to 20 square meters.

"The disinfection module uses germicidal discharge lamps with ultraviolet radiation (wavelength 254 nm), which destroys almost all known viruses, pathogenic bacteria and fungi," explained Khlebnikov.

Effective purification is also achieved by pumping air silent fans through the device disinfecting ultraviolet unit, the air is recirculated 50 cubic meters per hour.

Khlebnikov added that built-in ultraviolet lamps are securely hidden from view by the housing, so they can be used in rooms with a constant presence of people. The lamps are installed in standard ceiling cells to replace old lighting or to supplement it.

Manufacturing of medical masks

Among other things, the management of Parus Electro decided to diversify its business and launched two new lines for the production of medical masks. These masks are made mainly of domestic materials, which makes them independent of the foreign suppliers.

In this way the company solved two important tasks: increased the production of socially important product and involved the company's staff in the new direction, thus avoiding its reduction.

"New times dictate different rules and require revision of approach to work and business. To stay "on the wave" one shall accumulate all his forces and resources and organically fit into the new economic order, "- summed up Khlebnikov, General Director of the enterprise.
