The robot builder was patented by Innopolis University

Innopolis University has received patents on the territory of eight countries for a rope robot builder. According to the creators, the robot's design is convenient to transport, it is lighter than other construction 3D printers. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the university.

"A construction 3D printer developed by specialists of the NTI Competence Center in the field of Robotics and Mechatronics Components Technologies at Innopolis University has been patented by the Eurasian Patent Office and has received protection of exclusive rights to develop in all participants-countries of the Eurasian Patent Convention - Turkmenistan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Russia. It does not need to be specially configured for a certain area of the building, it is only necessary to put towers with winches on which cables are fixed at the right distance, pour the construction mixture into the container, set parameters and start the 3D printing process from the remote control," the message says.
