The growth of GRP by one and a half times is expected in the Kaluga region

The gross regional product in the Kaluga Region should grow one and a half times by 2040. In monetary terms, it will amount to 1,827.5 billion rubles. This is the new strategy for the development of the region. This is reported by the press service of the regional government.

"Economic growth is based on a new industrial and technological policy. It provides for the creation of conditions for technological autonomy of the basic industries of the region, increasing the role of the scientific sector, labor productivity growth, strengthening the role of small and medium-sized businesses. According to the target option, by 2040, compared with 2021, the gross regional product is projected to increase by 1.5 times (up to 1,827.5 billion rubles)," the report says.
