International settlements in cryptocurrency will be tested by the Central Bank

The Central Bank plans to test the use of cryptocurrencies for international settlements within the framework of an experimental legal regime together with companies. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Olga Skorobogatova.

"We are now within the framework of the experimental legal regime that we are preparing, we plan to try using cryptocurrencies for international settlements, that is, for foreign economic activity," Skorobogatova said.

According to her, the pilot project will be held with interested market participants. However, the Bank of Russia did not specify specific companies.
