Schoolchildren from Lipetsk were ahead of all Russian students in collecting waste paper

The first place among Russian schools for collecting waste paper was taken by students and teachers of Lipetsk Ecological Lyceum No. 66. The competition was held as part of the #BumBatl campaign of the national project "Ecology". This was announced by the governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov.

This year's campaign was held from September 15 to November 15. More than 1.2 thousand schools and kindergartens from all regions of the country took part in it. In the Lipetsk region, it was possible to collect more than 1.2 million tons of recyclable materials. Of these, 13.7 thousand are the merit of Lyceum No. 66.

"It's wonderful that children are involved in taking care of the environment. Environmental education should begin from kindergarten. Together we must instill in the younger generation a love for nature and teach them to take care of it," the head of the region said.
