The first open Russian festival of author's cinema "Winter" has opened in Moscow. It started with the screening of the documentary Lyubov Arkus "Balabanov. The bell tower. Requiem" about the famous film director. This was reported in the press service of the review.
The film Festival will be held in Moscow from December 2 to December 8. The competition program was formed by 10 Russian paintings.
"In the current conditions, the need for an authoritative platform for expert evaluation of the author's cinema is obvious. Authors need their own film forum, their own platform for serious professional conversation and topical discussion, and creative youth need a worthy reference point in professional film education. I sincerely hope that our film festival will become such a landmark and that a happy creative fate awaits the "Winter"," TASS quotes the words of the program director of the "Winter" festival Natalia Mokritskaya.
