Russia in the TOP 5 largest trading partners of India

In the first half of this fiscal year, Russia entered the top five largest trading partners of India. This is reported by The Times of India newspaper, referring to information from the Ministry of Commerce of India.

Our country took the fifth place largely due to the increase in imports of Russian oil, rising from 25th place at the end of last fiscal year. All this happened against the background of a decrease in India's exports to Russia by 19%.

According to the ministry, in the first half of the fiscal year, Russian imports to India increased from $ 4.2 billion to $ 21.3 billion.

The Indian government has allowed the country's oil companies to buy more oil in Russia – our country in October became the largest source of this raw material, despite pressure from the United States and other Western countries, The Times of India noted.
