To develop mobile communications in the country, the government wants to attract more companies

The Russian government is considering an updated version of the roadmap for the development of promising mobile communication standards. In addition to Rostec and Rostelecom, more companies will be involved in the development, for example, X Holding, Skoltech and New Telecom Solutions. Kommersant writes about this, referring to the passport of the updated document "Modern and promising mobile communication networks" for the period up to 2030.

The implementation of the roadmap is projected to cost 84 billion rubles, 52 billion of which will be allocated from the budget. The rest is planned to be attracted from extra-budgetary sources.

"The updated document includes a list of products highlighted by five key lines that should be developed and released by 2030," the publication writes. In addition to the 4G standard base stations, the list includes stations for the 5G standard, including those using the Russian electronic component base.
