Technopolis company "Moscow" has developed a new type of rapid test for COVID-19

The company "Imbian Lab", located in the special economic zone (SEZ) of Moscow and the science city of Koltsovo, Novosibirsk region, has successfully registered the first domestic rapid test to detect the antigen of coronavirus infection in human saliva. The system is characterized by high diagnostic sensitivity, which will quickly identify even asymptomatic patients. This was told by the head of the capital's Department of investment and industrial policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

His words are quoted by the press service of the city government. "Timely primary diagnosis is the key to effective control of the spread of infectious diseases. The company strives to make the diagnostic process as simple and fast as possible. The company's capacities allow it to produce about 40 million express tests annually.

In October 2022, the products were put into serial production, the first batch amounted to 20 thousand pieces. In the near future, the kit will appear in pharmacies," the official said. Unlike the usual COVID-19 tests, the new test system analyzes a sample of the patient's saliva. The result can be obtained within 7-10 minutes. The company "Imbian Lab" began the creation of its production at the site "Alabushevo" in 2022. The area of the future enterprise will be about 2.5 thousand square meters.
