Gas supplies from Russia to Greece increased 4 times in value terms

The cost of gas supplies from Russia to Greece has quadrupled to $2 billion. This statement was made by the Russian Ambassador to Greece Andrey Maslov, the Izvestia newspaper reports.

According to Russian customs statistics, natural gas accounts for approximately 40% of Russia's total exports to Greece. According to Maslov, "based on our estimates, over the eight months of this year, the physical volume of gas supplies has really decreased, but not by 50%, but by 10%. In terms of value, gas supplies have increased almost fourfold - from $540 million to $2 billion."

Earlier in the Greek media there was information about a jump in prices for natural gas and oil. In this regard, the cost of supplies from Russia to Greece has more than doubled.
