In 1994, he graduated from school-gymnasium № 676 with in-depth study of history and foreign languages. In the same year, he entered the Moscow State Art and Cultural University.
Agafontsev began his career at the end of 1994 in a joint Russian-Irish enterprise as an assistant manager and interpreter.
In 1995, he was directly involved in organizing Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference in Baku, where he lived for a month and a half. At the end of 1995, he joined the Lufthansa Cargo division, where he first came across the air cargo industry.
In 1996, due to a change of management and the beginning of property redistribution at Sheremetyevo Airport, he had to resign as the Head of Logistics Department of LBL Corporation.
In 2001 Agafontsev organized his own enterprise Noord Connect, the head of which he is to this day.
As a hobby Mikhail is fond of extreme tourism and has visited more than 50 countries on all continents for the last 25 years. In addition, professionally engaged in sailing, also participated in almost all major world regattas, has a rating of Yachtmaster Ocean.
