In 2008, he graduated from the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Until 2009, Karpov served in the Leningrad Military District, then he was cut down.

In September 2009, he took the position of Business Development Manager in the company MED RAY. He was engaged in active promotion of the company's products, delivery organization and implementation.

Since 2011, he has headed the department of information technologies in medicine. He was responsible for the supply, implementation and development of solutions for automation of radiation diagnostics departments, as well as for promotion of software for post-processing of computed tomography scan and magnetic resonanse imaging studies.

In 2014 he was appointed CEO of MED RAY company. Over 2 000 specialized workstations for diagnostic equipment (computed tomography, magnetic resonanse imaging, X-rays, mammographs, ultrasound, endoscopes, etc.) of the leading world and domestic manufacturers have been supplied to the company.

There were conducted the automations of the leading institutions, among them: 3d Vishnevsky Central Military Clinical Hospital, the Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery, Mariinskaya Municipal Hospital, Bakulev Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery, Guard's the Guard's Main Military Clinical Hospital, St. Petersburg Children's City Hospital No.1, Burnasyan Federal Medical Biophysical Center of Federal Medical Biological Agency, National Medical Research Rariological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Regional projects were implemented, under which Regional Radiological Information Systems and Central Archives of Medical Images in the Republics of Chuvashia and Yakutia as a part of the federal projects - Health Care, Creating a Unified Digital Contour.
