Graduated from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 1996 as a documentary film director. He began his career as a director at Channel One, where he worked from 1994 to 1996. In 1997, he continued his professional activity at the TV-6 channel.
From 1997 to 2000 he worked as an art director and television producer of TV-6 MEDIA advertising agency. In 2001, he began working in the television production company TELESPEZNAZ as a chief director.
From 2003 to 2004 he was General Director and Chief Producer of BS GRAPHICS PRODUCTION, in 2004 he became Head of Production Services Department of Amedia.
In 2005-2006, he held the position of Director of Programming at 2X2 channel. In 2006 he became a producer of the production department on REN-TV channel.
In 2001, he founded the television production company Kinoproduct. In total, the company has created more than 200 hours of television programs and documentary series for the most popular Russian TV channels. Among the clients of Kinoproduct were such channels as: Channel One, Russia-1, NTV, RenTV, Channel 5, TV3, TV Center, Match-TV, 2X2, Sony Entertainment Television and others.
In 2009 Dovbnya founded Cyrillica, which is engaged in localization of television content. Among the main clients of the company are Disney, Discovery, Sony Entertainment Television, Paramount Comedy, STS, UFC, MTV, 2X2, Friday, UTV, Kinopoisk, Amediateka, IVI and many others.
Since 2015, the studio Cyrillica began to provide a new type of service - localization of content in foreign languages. Thanks to the studio's partners around the world, Russian customers receive the full range of localization services in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese and many other languages.
