Opening December 30, 1936, the Egorievsk Shoe Factory has never once halted production.
Over the last 79 years the company has become one of the leaders of the Russian light industry, adopted the best practices in the shoe business, modernized production, and created its successful Kotofey brand.

The recent history of Egorievsk Shoes JSC is an example of expert management and of a successful development strategy. The factory management overcame the difficult economic times that befell Russia in the 90s by securing a lucrative contract to produce children’s shoes for the Italian firm IGI. Through this partnership, the company was able to train its staff, gain valuable experience and acquire modern equipment.
This brought about success exceeding all expectations. To meet the increased demand for Kotofey shoes, Egorievsk Shoes signed contracts with the best production sites in Russia, unifying them under a singular brand name.
